I have a 51 Reg Corsa 1.8 with the 4 CD multi changer, and am currently having very strange problems.
About a week ago the dash light came on to indicate that there was an electrical fault, however, once the engine was restarted it went out, so I thought that all was now OK.
However, since then I have noticed that when I start the car the drivers side speakers (main & tweeter) pop when they come on. They then pop again when I remove key from ignition. Whilst playing the speakers work fine.
To add to this, yesterday, when I started the car, the speakers popped as usual and then the radio came on at full volume. Now it sometimes randomly goes to full volume without anything being touched.
This is very strange and I am guessing is linked to the electrical fault light coming on, but what is the problem ?
Any ideas would be appreciated. Is it the speakers, the CD Player or something else ?

maybe a dodgy earth or other connection with the CD? i would try to re-seat all the connections just to be sure.
if you can find it id take it for a diagnostic @ your local vauxhall specialist and get them to plug it in, that should identify if there are any breaks in electrical circuit (cost bout £80)

Thanks, I have now posted in ICE / electrical section as well.
Just hoping I can sort it without having to take it into Vauxhall.
