I got a cav rear brake setup, can the calipers be split in two like the bolts going through indicate, i need to clean and paint em up, also fancy replacing the bolts with stainless items... anyone done this ?

Seriously, there's no mechanical parts in one half of the caliper is there? Unless they're opposing piston jobbies, which I don't remember seeing. You said they need the seals and stuff replacing anyway, so you're not going to break anything that isn't already broken. Wedge it in a corner and take The Bar to it, you knwo you want to...
