Hey people i have just bought a rev guage(tachometer) and would like to know where the green wire goes to on my car?
I have a red(for live), black(for ground), white(for light) and a green for???
I have been told i connect the green wire to the+ on my coil, but i dont have a coil as its elec ignition.
where do i put this wire?
PLEASEEEEE HELP!!!!

Forgot to mention the motor is a 1.2 8v with no tach in my dash

u do have a coil and there is a green wire comin off of it.

to the right of the wiring > theres the coil
look for a green wire in there

nah mate i cant see nothing there neither Ive been told to look round the column too?
So i cut thru some of the black tape thats underneath the steering column and going up towards the clocks and i see this green wire??

it picks its pulse up from the crank sensor via the ecu

Right, pull off your drivers side kick panel and there should be a loom coming out with 9 wires in it, one of these green. This will go into a square (3x3 wires) plug, you will probly find the green wire stops here... had it have carried on through the other side of the plug it would be already in your dash!
But anyway... this is the wire you wanna connect to for your tacho pulse

It picks up the pulsing from the ign circuit, the crank pick up is pretty weak.
