got a smoked one with interior lights for my corsa instead of boring one.
i can wire up main bit with existing connectors but obviously need seperate wires for map lights... or just a seperate negative.
have a red and white wire for standard... then hidden away i can see a brown wire, black wire and a plug.... guessing these are for leccy sunroofs? or the ariel???
could i just wire the positive from the normal into map lights and then use the hidden brown one as an earth? or will i find my car burning on the inside if i do that?

If you find a screw or bolt on the chasis, then you can simply connect the earth to that. The whole chasis of your car is like an earth wire since its directly connected to the negative side on your battery

i've checked the guide for this in FAQ... but my +ve and -ve seam to be the wrong way round! (where the red wire and white wire go... they seem to be the wrong way round!)
could have been wired wrong way round when i had the electric problem that caused a lot of damage to a lot of wires.
but got it working with them the other way round so the map lights and interior light can work independantly... just wasn't sure about the earth/-ve
