When driving at low speed 30mph, gets a knocking which comes through the gas pedal gets exaggerated when going over bumps. Had the wheels checked and all seems ok, car is going to garage next week to have it looked over but any ideas what it might be?

Pedal is attached direct to the bulkhead so it must be coming through that, closest thing to that is the steering rack. Can you make it do it by turning the wheel back and forward?

no its more like, something is loose, when u go over a bump it kinda rattles and shakes the pedal, cant hear any noises tho.
actually i'll go have another go now, also when turning left or on full left lock it tends to knock too

yup looks like it might be the steering rack, any idea what its gonna cost for a new one? or does it just need a few bolts tightening?

There are four bolts, two above the rack and two below.

have you fitted an induction kit also? i had this problem once... turned out the bracket holding the cone filter wasnt positioned right so the filter was knocking around, used to feel that thru the pedal.

yeah it has a green cotton induction kit, will check that in the morning, cheers didnt think to look at that cos its been in for ages and had no problems till now!
