just got given a freeview box, sony one, about 100 quids worth
plugged it in, switched it on, did scan.... nothing
moved aerial... nothing
got another signal booster (now using 2)... picks up 1 fucking channel
i dont even want TMF ffs
what can i do to make it work (my postcode shows up as a blackspot on the freeview signal map)

and sorry dont no how to help. ive had a freeview box all yr at uni and all i got extra was itv2 and bbc3

go on freeview.co.uk and enter post code, tells you if you can recieve a signal or not (i did not know this until after i'd plugged it all in

it was a freebie, and i didnt know till i read the manual, and it tells you inside the front cover to check on the website for signal coverage

although im thinking in the long run 150 + price of box etc, would be cheaper than paying monthly etc etc

sky say you need to be connected to a phone line, in truth, you only do when the dude is setting it all up, they normally unplug it and say "you dont really need that plugged in, only for box office or porn"

we live in the middle of no where and pick up everything!, loads of channels, men & motors etc everything, using our 100 year old 'must be' arieal on the roof! which is dodgey as
