I took out £1500 from my account at the end of last year with no problems - obviously I had to do the transaction over the counter.
I suppose it depends what bank and branch you went to. I used the main branch of my bank in central Oxford, if I used one of the smaller shittier branches it probably would have been a problem.

I went into natwest in blackburn and i handed a withdrawl slip to the girl for just short of £6K and she said how would you like it? No id required no nothing

Unfortunately i agree with rob on this
Hayfever is a complete fucker, and if you look like a smack addict there's little chance they'll take you seriously.
I also, however agree with the fella who said what if you had ur "identity" stolen, you'd be the first one to compain.
all in all it's 1am i've been drinking since 3. It's a valid arguement somehow

ive also took £4000 out same day took 15mins with HSBC. Your oviously with the wrong bank mate.

There is another way, change your bank to Natwest (sorry). I was allowed to take out £500 in £5 notes once. I did it to piss one of my friends off
