probabbly am gonna manage to get a Hyundai 1.6l 16v 112bhp engine free!!

what would you do with it??
was thinkin about doin a kit car and tuning the engine... (dad liked idea so he would help financially!! )

matt h -- ebay u mean the engine or the kit? the engine im getting for free from a mate. all the other stuff i have to buy or do myself. don't know if its a plus.. but i have a mate who works in a firm were they do metal things so it would be handy ay? esp for the body

cannot ebay it... no1 will buy since im in malta it would cost a fortune to post a whole engine and no1 would dream of collection from here!
might ask a couple of guys with accents maybe they would buy it... but im more on the kit car side!

I'f you doing a kit car start with a well catered for engine!

2.0 16v vaux
1.6 8v CVH ford
2.0 16v Zetec Ford

can be had for pennies.

No point in making your car handicapped from the word go

cateram and westfield sell there chassis and body panels pretty cheap.... look at there sites

I think, if that engine is free, take it and sell it as you have nothing to lose! Use the money from that engine to buy one of the above suggested engines!

Dont listen to em saying its shoot if its free so what.

Set of Carbs with set up would see that well past 130bhp - in a kit car awesome fun.

Something different and before anyone laughs the Hyundai 1.6 16v is well known to be "the most realiable" in its class.

The problem you have is that you'll spend money getting it to fit, right gearbox etc., so the engine being free is not really a bonus, please you're left with something which parts are going to be more difficult to source, there's not as much available or known about tuning it.

but even to get one of the engines named b4 is a bit expensive since im in malta! i hate this place... everything is sofa king expensive. we have a total of 75% of taxes on automobile stuff!
