how would i go about cleaning up my engine bay?

i wanna paint the cover and a few other bits also, whats the best type of paint to use?

anyone done this?
pics?

best way to clean it is with a steam cleaner but u can paint a few bits but needs to be heat resistant paint!!

Norma celulose paint (stuff you get in rattle cans) is fine for rocker covers e.t.c... Cillit bang and fairy liquid are amazing degreasers....

get engine degreaser and a alot of scrubbing then tart it up a bit...

just steam cleaned my old engine and used autoglym rubber and vinyl cleaner to mint it all up
