Multipoint injection Vauxhall engines use 1 injector per cylinder, i.e. 4 injectors for the 1.4 mpi.

If the airbox is sat on top of the engine then it has either a carb of Single Point Injector. Lift the airbox off and you should see 1 injector with a pair of wires going to it.

Single point injection engines don't have a carb.
To distinguish between MPi and SPi engines you look for a fuel rail and 4 fuel injectors on the inlet manifold just before the head. If you have that you have an MPi engine, if you don't you have an SPi enigne.

tha airbox is located next to the wing regardless of its injectors and its not going to have a carburettor of its got fuel injection

Sorry, was getting confused with mk3 fiesta for some reason.
On the mk3 fiesta the Single Point Injection units look just like a carb.

ok well multiport is its separate valves opening and shuting independently according to throttle load. This creates more efficient combustion, as with petrol direct injection, but is cheaper than these expensive and complex systems.
