Am a bit stumped here.
I have been given a tidy set of 6x9 speakers, and i'm going to mount those in the parcel shelf. Up front I have 160w Sony Xplods, and a 600w pioneer sub in the boot.
Do I
1. remove door speakers and take the wiringto the back for the 6x9's
2. take the 6x9's off a channel on my amplifier and keep door speakers? (Sub is currently bridged on this).
cheers

Why cant you run the 6x9s off the standard rear speakers wires?

My Corsa had no rear speakers nor any wiring. Can't remember what I have the 6x9's wired up to now.

would keep the door speakers regardless, otherwise you'll make a mess of the sound staging.

run cabling to the rears
as posted take the standard Vaux cables (the loom should be there just not connected - see Haynes for wire colours)
or do wot i did find this part:
(the multicoloured plug/socket) on your head unit (not neccessary to remove if u shoved ur head in the passenger footwell
then connect some decent sound wire to it
run this underneath the glove box, down the plastic by the door (simply removed)
removed the plastic door sill (a bit of work getting to the screw heads) and tape the wire down - should see other cables there
poke it through the rear door car (ive got a 3dr (5door repeat the door sill trick i guess)
have someone in the boot ready to grab the cable off you (remove the plastic covering the top of the suspension mount
i then refitted the plastics and have the wire poke out thru the access panel keeps things tidy.
U2U me for photos as i dont have any but will get some on request
EDIT: scratch that i found this photo - not great but shows where the wire comes out of the plastic!

dont mix 6 x 9s with a sub, its a waste of time, money and effort
jsut amplify ur front door speakers n make sure ur sub its tuned and set up properly and it will sound better than any 6 x 9s in ur car
the cables for ur rear speakers will already be there, it wos connected to teh rear light wiring loom, so it mite jsu tbe sitting in the rear quater sumwhere

I have been told that in the corsa without the rear speakers, there still is the wiring there as I have no speakers and want to do this.

Dude, this thread is 2 years old.
I just ran the cabling along the interior but hid most of it away under trim, works fine
