Only wanted a price and part number on the damned friction plate, ended up having a lecture on getting one of their flywheels, cover plate, clutch plate and bearings.

3.4 Kg Aluminium Flywheel - £270.82 + VAT
Uprated Clutch Cover Plate - £186.74 + VAT
Paddle Clutch Plate - £147.65 + VAT
One of Their Release Bearings - £17.13 + VAT

Total Cost £731.25

Hmmmm, or do I just get the Paddle Clutch Plate and not listen to him? He reckons my lightened Flat type Flywheel is just gonna break with the torque I'm throwing at it.

dont get a paddle clutch... get one of thier organic ones, that should be fine on a vaux flywheel. hes right tho, a sintered or ceramic (think thats what they are) will destroy the flywheel..

just been talking to a mate about this as ill soon be running 260, he is running 340ish at the mo and still on a normal clutch and its been fine, he says isnt enough weight in a corsa or nova to put that much stress on the clutch.

"The alloy flywheel has a steel insert to act as a friction surface."

Apparently.

Im chewing through clutches just lately, I'll also be running slicks, an LSD and more power by the end of the year. Would it not be worth just forking out now than doing it cheap and twice in the long run?

I expect I'll end up getting those bits tbh. Where to get the money???.......

Anyone wanna rent my body?

Ask T.F.S from mig he managed to get hold of a double plate organic set up from somewhere whihc is much easier to live with day to day.
If you want a stronnger flywheel, then consider high grade steel, steveboyslim on mig can supply one and would take mroe abuse than ali flywheel.
