Need to replace the brake discs on my corsa with C20XE.
I think they're currently Cav Gsi discs.
LMF do a 288mm 4 Stud Front Brake Upgrade Kit. Is this any good or anyone recommend anything better.
Running 15" wheels so can't go too big

ive been looking into better brakes for a while now.
im going for the hi-spec 285mm big disc conversion. uses the 2.0l calipers and drilled or grooved discs. calipers are spaced out with a mounting bracket.
i went for this option as the v6 calipers are a bit big for the corsa master cylinder and most people told me they got a lot of brake travel and a spongy feel. the 2.0l calipers have a good feel (have them on my corsa now) so going for a bigger disc will improve the braking even more.
cost is £226 for everything you need (not calipers) inc delivery and greenstuff pads.
plus they will look good under my 16's

I'm doing 284 mm calibra turbo conversion.
got the whole set for a good price ( under £100) just gotta get the disc's redrilled and then i can tell you how good they are but suspect they will be good.
Mintex 1144 pads are also a very good buy

Got 2.0 ate brakes up front with Discs at rear with braided hose and driled and grooved discs all round brakes really well now,
As well as the bigger engine in the Cali. am i right in thinking the only reason for the mass bralkes is the mass weight to go with it?

bigger engine=more power=move faster=may want to brake quicker

i see but say the Cav/Calli had the same light weight as the corsa 280+ brakes would not be needed? as smaller ones would do the job fine?

does anyone know if a tigra master cylinder is bigger that a 1.2 8v corsa one... the reson i ask it that i had v6 brakes on my corsa but always had a spongy brake pedal... they'd stop ya in a heart beat but the pedal always felt wierd...
the brakes are now on my misus's tigra and there is no spongy brake pedal... and her brakes are the best i have ever seen from driving a few different cars....
