We use a bekin wireless router. It's hard wired into one comp with two other desktops and one laptop running wirelessly from it. The desktops have wireless network adaptors (also belkin) which are about the size of an audio cassette box. The laptop has a built in thing i think...
The router has a lifetime garantee which is good. We've been running it for nearly five years. It died last year and they sent out a more recent model which was nice!
Customer services could be better though.
We also use NTL and i'm 99% sure its cable.
