yea cambelt got changed about 8k miles ago! it had 121k miles on the clock! was an ex company motorway car

we have had the tentioner fail on 1.8ts after a couple off k after being fitted

i thought about the cambelt, this could be a cause as if the timing is out then maybe the damage has built up and got worse over time or something

i think the head gasket might be the cause! i did notice that the coolant in the bottle was bubbling up after a good drive but never thought anything of it!!!

but there was no signs of this in coolant or filler cap or anywhere!

a headgasket failure would not cause bent valves..
