I think the coupe's definitely need either the GSi front or the Irmscher lips front/rear to look nice, but the GSi just looks a bit 'stumpy' at the back to me.

Very different looking cars -- think the decision rests on whether you want a 'hot hatch' or an 'executive' car.

Well pointed out Tim, that's why I went for the coupe turbo in the first place, wanted something fast but executive looking. Felt that I was growing out of the hot hatch.
