who does he work for? is he LAME, or just avionics?
Works for airbus in broughton and sometimes tolouse, not sure exactly what he does but he was in charge of the avionics on 'plane 1' a380 in tolouse for a bit they're all in the wings aren't they
Avionics can be many parts of the aircraft, from the cockpit right up to the tail, depends what he is assigned to at the time. cool as fook working for Airbus though, lucky sod. my grandfather was chief technician at BAe Hatfield at one point, and travelled to Toulouse loads on business working on the A300-B1/B2. he is my inspiration. he died 8 years ago
I think he's been on wings on the a380 doing development etc he loves that bit but you have to do 'production line' type stuff at other times. Are you doing anything about it mate?

wings would be awesome on the A380, sure has been a few intensive months when it came to wing design. was talking to a few insiders at Airbus and there were massive obstacles when it came to the wings. they are a very odd shape, but works well.
What am i doing about though?

Yes I feel it may be in order as a trip to Dubai may well on the cards and it'd be rude not to after coming all that way already
