Looking for a cheap runaround (under £500) to use for the next 6months or so. Will be used mostly for short trips under 5 miles. And probably about 10 longer motorway trips of about 100miles.
Must be cheap to insure. Would ideally like something with a bit of character or something that sets it apart.
Best idea gets a 10er if i end up buying one. Get firing...

Renault 5 1.4 Campus
Picked up for around £400 - £500 (1996 N Reg example) with little miles (usually around the 60,000 mark).
De-cat it with a bit of pipe and drill the airbox, makes it rather nippy because its so light.
If you can be arsed, drop the torsion bar and cut a coil or two off the front springs and drop it on its arse.
Mine before it had the turbo kit on...
And my brothers now (standard exterior wide except for the wheels and its been dropped for pennies)

Vans can be an arse to insure, most insures will not belive you are not using it for business purposes....
