do you need a thin tyre aswell?

as you might be able to strtch a 185 tyre but would be a fatter profile really as for normal cars!

a 195 tyre by some brands may have sloping sidewalls, my old 195/40/16 dunlops had a sloping sidewalls!

195/45 wont stretch, my fronts are 7x15 with 195/45, you'll need less than 195

When there used to be proper racing on after the Chelsea Cruise there were a few fellas with unbelievably serious MK Is & IIs.
A couple of them were running 7.5 x 13 X-Pack RS four spokes with standard arches so they used Yokohama A008RS with a 175 width.
Not sure what profile, possibly 45 or even 40, but no more than 50.
These fitted beautifully and had the effect of looking like a black rubber band stretched around the wheel.
Good performance too and with the added benefit of fitting a seven and a half inch rim under standard arches on a decked Escort.

I would have thought a 185 with a 40 or 45 profile should do it Jimbo.

Give Carl at RSR a shout and see what he's got to fit mate.

I got 185/55 on my SXi Rims JR. They aren't stretched, but they don't bulge out over the rim. Couldn't get a lower profile than a 55 though
