Just to clarify as my MSN is flashing by the minute:

The site was down last night due to upgrades. During this time a new server went live and the site and data was transferred over to that. The old server is being taken out of its current role and being given other duties.

The new server is quicker than the old one, but as the old one was no couch potato, you may not really see a difference. The main benefits are the amount of power it gives us to do new things, which are not programmed yet.

It also means we can have more people on, which hopefully means more prems, which hopefully means a bit more cash, which hopefully means more stand furniture etc. and a bit more comfort where the bills are concerned.

As we also moved locations, we also have a bigger bandwidth allowance, more security on the physical siting of the machine, better backup capabilities, better remote access to the machine in case of problems etc. which should further aid our good uptime.

There will inevitably be the odd problem here and there, and if you spot one let Tim or I know.

I would like to thank everyone on the site for their continued support, prems for their financial input which makes planning for the future possible, mods and organisers for lightening the load somewhat and Tim for his masterful expertise in overseeing the whole operation.

Why do all the pictures in my garage have the upload date of September 11th? Is this due to maintenence?

Because I moved them to the new server on September 11th It works on the file creation date, and I didn't preserve dates on the copy.

I'm also having a bit of trouble uploading 4 images at a time. I don't know if I'm having problems at home.

After I have clicked to uplaod 4 images half the garage opens that I have uploaded into and then it stops loading. I can refresh the page and my images won't be there!

Yeh I was getting on ok doing 1 and 2 didn't try 3. Must be something my end if no-one else has complained
