i did Desgin at college and this included photography , wasnt that great though.

depends I know all I know from reading online, talking to people and practicing. I don't think a course would help me for my work. if it was free I would do it but they cost

Your best bet is to go talk to the staff delivering and see what they're going to cover. The part time stuff in the college I work at is fairly elementary, to get more advanced techniques you need to commit full time.
Part time stuff costs money but most colleges will have a fund for fee discounts which you apply for before you enrol.

3/ buy The photoshop CS2 book for digital photographers by scott kelby
4/ go of and take picstures
5/ join various websites for photographers to post pictures and get advice
6/ have fun.
