Spot on Brad cheers for that, was thinking you would need more money but 3k seems cheap enough

wot were the flight prices then though etc?
accommodation did you just find random places while out there?

if going to oz, fly with japan airlines as a preference, its £450 return and they fly you into japan on the way back and you get 1 free night in a hotel. Then i selected that i wanted a return flight 2 weeks after that date so i got 2 weeks in japan!!

Accomadation just stay in youth hostels, some are really nice i can reccomend you a few in each town/city in oz as we moved about, meet people, cheap drinks and food its ace and expect to pay about $20-$30 dollars a night for a place to kip, remember the exchange rate is nearly $3 to £1, so its about £6-10 for a night!!

Basically all prices are relative i found in oz, same as uk but then with exchange rate we seem its cheap

i'm going to california for 3 months to be a snowboard instructor, my brother did it to and he took 3k - said he got thru it easily especially after hiring vipers in las vegas and staying at the bellagio + doing grand canyon and that was 1 weekend!

i intend to take 3k with me for expenses (accomodation nd food is covered already) and it costs bout 6k for the course
