I was just wondering if anyone knew if 'All' broadband routers(with built in modems) have a type of port forwarding?
Im currently using the Netgear DG834 which has a very good firewall with port forwarding setup.
But another company that have asked for my 'assitance' want me to setup port forwarding for them. I was ment to buy the router myself etc so id get the correct one, but of course they went on and bought it all them selves, set up the connection etc, im just wondering if they've bought a cheap/nasty router whether or not it will support port forwarding?

Nearly all routers support port forwarding.
www.portforward.com gives good guides on most routers.
What make have they bought?

Ask for model number, download online manual, and find out for yourself
and FYI... even the sub £30 routers provided port forwarding!
