Looks ace, only thing that worries me is the lowering 60mm, will check and see how its been done, ie matched shocks and springs, 60mm drop in all fairness requires uprated torsion bars to pull it off properly.

Just that the 106 GTi is a superbly balanced car and lowering it on the cheap can screw the handling.

From a styling point of view? I would stick with some kind of 15" lightweight rims on a car like that.

What mileage is it?

Check for head gasket... but generally a lot of things can go wrong on all of them like mine idles like a piece of crap, but providing it goes alright that's all that matters

The only thing I've actually had gone wrong in mine all the time I've had it is new clutch, new brakes, ABS sensor... - that's it?

ok it idles a little rough, but maybe that's because the previous owner had cams but removed the piggy back mapping (i.e. unichip) that's what I keep saying to myself anyway haha.

Very true about possible to mess up handling lowering it too much on standard shocks, but on the other hand I've seen a lot of 106 gti's going on track with drops of 50mm and handle brilliantly, so

Personally I wouldn't change anything on that 106 gti. Please don't let her put a silly kit or anything crap like that on it.

Can't wait to lower the front of mine from 30mm drop to 50mm - will make it look a lot nicer as at the moment my rear sits around 40 - 45mm but front only 30mm ... 106 Gti's look so lush when decked.
