hi. i've got a '95 corsa. engine is 1.4 16v Si.
the breather filter fell out, and the element inside seemed to have disintergrated into nothing. then i went to a car parts place, and the guy told me it didn't really matter, but that the car might fail an emissions test on the next MOT.
so anyway, i kind of just forgot about it and ran the car without one. but my question is, where can i get one of these breather filters? and what particular type and size would i need? or can i just shove a sock down there or something? 
if anyone could help, i'd appreciate it. thanks

they dont have a breather filter
you mean the filter from the end of this thing:

its a charcoal filter for the secondary air pump, get it from vauxhall its only about a £5 and it just pushs on.
either that get one from the scrappy tho if there anything like the one's in my area they'll prob charge you more!!!
