Pmsl... No mate.
Just promoted oversteer, nothing to do with the fact that I can't drive at all, I purposly went into a corner to break the rear end out and bring it back again. It's handy to know the breaking point esp in a fully stripped out clio, gives you miles more confidence in the car and the style of driving you can adopt.
Every car I've owned has been totally different to drive, From my stripped out corsa on coilovers, polys blah blah Clio 16v blah blah, Golf GTi road rally car again with coilovers and full Arbs, polys blah blah blah and now my nova with rollcage, colivers blah... You get the idea.
If you have more confidence in your car, you can drive harder/safer/faster knowing how the car should or could handle what you throw it into. Obv the car setup is along side the drivers ability to read the roads and apex's etc.

well i work for vauxhall and on all diagnostic tools/tables etc... there is no listing for a C20XEJ, and this...
http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/info/engine_codes/engine_codes.htm
is a home made site, i wouldnt take that as gospel,
rub down the bellhousing on the front end of the gearbox pointing to the front of the car, the very lip of it where it connects to the engine and it'll say C20XE that is your engine code,
none of this C20XEJ crap

pretty sure XEJ's do exist. M1st wouldn't have just invented it out of the air.
also, the number is on the front lip of the block where the gearbox bolts on.
not vice versa otherwise it would have been a gearbox number, not an engine number

There was a lad on Migweb.co.uk who had an XEJ think there the same as the XE but have no idea... Check migweb.co.uk see if you can find more info.

Nope I did my mates one time and time again the torque spread is soo different between the two engines.
Like Mist says it dont feel like 150 bhp as with the Willaims you have to keep the revs high to keep the power going where as with an XE you can put your foot down in any gear and feel it pull. I've driven both back to back and know this for a fact
End of the day the Willams will outhandle it but on a stright bit of road the XE has it game set and match. Which is where your most likely to tustle with each other.
Would love a Williams but they are all dogs now and they are far from reliable from talking to my friends and family who have owned them

who said C20XEJ, i said 20XEJ early engine (pre cat) and unless the guy on the production line who stamped my engine had dyslexia, this is the engine code i have, i suggest you put in for a few more vaux tech training courses

Williams will beast a corsa on the corner no doubt at all, would imagine as said the corsa would be slightly quicker in a straight line.
