it may sound stupied but it can be done. just connect the + and - up on the sub to that of an amp, check that the ohms is the same tho.

Anthony, your not too far from me. TBH mate your going to get ripped into for asking a question like that on here, subs arn't that expensive mate! How were you thinking of powering your home/car cinema (amp)?

if your that desperate ask around local, people always upgrade so you`d proberly get a splx sub and amp for 20 quid.

im not desperate at all, I am getting a sub in a couple of weeks anyway. Just thought while it was sitting there might come in handy

you would fuck it up , 230v sub will not be powered by a 12v battery inless an invertor was used , but even the inverter would not be able to work as fast as the sub would need . , keep it in your bed room
