I've got conected on the laptop to the uni network, verified etc, THe little screens are lighting up in the bottom right corner, But the interent or anything doesn't work? Its acting as though there is no connection.
Abit vague but im getting really fucked off with it now!
Its Sheffield Uni network if that makes a difference.

you might need to get their proxy server settings.
just because the network connection is active, doesn't mean you have internet access or credentials to log onto network drives etc.
ask their IT support

Think i needed to download so VPN stuff, to get it working. There were no IT support about at the time. Sorry for the vague description, i was getting extremely pissed off so thought anything was worth a try!
