changed my side light and indicators yesterday with some that were imported from america.

couldnt get hold of an orange indicator bulb with pins that werent off set.

So had to stick the twin filiment bulb back in which is side lights and indicators in one.

Looks kind of cool but are orange side lights ok by law?

No, white lights only from the front !

I'ver never had a problem with sidelights before being a different colour, usually...

I've seen a few new shape 5 series going round that have orange sidelights so presume it must be legal?

I will ask my friendly MOT test station.

Infact im sure there is an MOT tester that uses this site.

South Yorkshire Police just love the slightest discolouration of lights and minor car defects. Travelling through theres like bandit territory

dont the 5 series bms have white sidelights, but then have orange LEDs around the side, so they seem orange from the side? same idea as the volvo orange lights on the side of the bumper

Yeah I think thats what they are meant to do but they still look orange from the front
