Hi Guys
The other day I posted some pictures and someone commented on how far my CV/shafts came out of the hub/brake discs and I'm quite worried that I've fucked something up in the progress.
Someone asked if I had put on the washer before the castle nut, which I did do, they are both new items on both side too.
CV's are from an Astra GTE, the shafts and hubs are from Cossvaux (sourced from Lee Mitchell)
The castle nuts have already been torqued up to the specifications listed in the Calibra Haynes manual.
PICS
Any comments/help welcome, thanks for your time.

One more thing, I still have the old washers from when i removed the original corsa stuff... it looks like if I was to have two washers behind the nut then it would match up fine but I didnt fancy bodging it up any more!

the hole in the cv joint that you can see should sit in the grooves of the castle nut

mine are like that also.
the split pin doesn't sit inside any of the turrets, but it would stop the coming back if it started to loosen.
lee mentioned to me once about washers being supplied with the full kits that go between the cv and the rear face of the hub. that would probably fix it, but dunno if that compresses the cv's too much?

I had the shafts of my CV's ground back, as the 2litres one's were too long, i was on speedlines as well so defo needed to cut them back cos of the centre cap.

Mine were the same, so I gave the CV a trim with a hacksaw, when I mentioned this last people said that I needed new CV's, but new CV's wouldn't change a thing and the CV stud would still poke out...
