anyone know how? my mate needs to know how easy it is, and what sort of cost is involved to register a plc, not a limited company, as there is a fair amount of cost involved in that

You go to a shop that sells companys, you tell them what you want to do and pay them something like £200. You get a box full of pieces of paper and you are the owner of the company... Thats as much as I know as I don't have the full lecture notes on it yet...

using google I found this it took me less than 30s there are others though

it'll cost £60 plus vat for a business name search registration and protection. £8 plus vat for additional certificates and £80 plus vat for a uk and european trademark search and report.
Iv got the pdf file from the national business register if your wanting it sent

what sort of company you looking at, sole trader, ltd liability company, partnership etc....
just saying you wish to set up a company means nothing really

in fact re reading his first post setting up a plc costs £140 plus vat, i have the application forms for this as well

Your better off paying somone to write your Memorandums & Articles of Association though because it is a very tedious document to write. So going to a shop and buying a company is probably best...

It costs the same though for an LTD company...
