Is a standard c20let engine faster than a c20xe on tb's ( in a corsa). I know theres a big horse power difference between the two but ive been told the tb'd car is alot more responsive.
Has anybody raced the two against each other?

xe with the sbd220 kit is 220 bhp isnt it?
should b a fair ish race.torque figures will be different bla

Anybody know what the reliablity is like of the throttle boddies compared to the turbo?

its not the throttle bodies that would fail.... its the other components that may not have been replaced when the upgrade was done. Like when tuning a c20toilet 
i'd go for a TB'd c20xe.... but depends on the cams etc.... just TB's on a std engine would get roasted by a std c20toilet

.... but for the money some thing like a sunny GTi-R would make much more sense...
