finally got the allen keys out of the cassete player in my corsa an got the coat hangers in but it still wouldnt shift spent ages till we end up with the longest coasthanger we could in it pulling it aswell. and took the ashtray out to have a look.

going to have to buy the keys tommrow an have a shot with those. anyone else had these probelms?

wiggle them about till u hear a "click " noise then pull out the stereo with them still in the same position.

if you've taken the ash tray out, you should be able to get the stereo out easily

Why is this bad news TBH I don't really care if you can't get a stereo out. I can get one out in about 1 min.

it takes about 1 minute in the pitch black. lol. just get ur hand behind the stereo and push it forward.

all you need is a small flat screw driver down the sides to push the cage pins back??

or take the ash tray out and pull the pins for the cage back into place and slide it out

You are only supposed to push the coathanger in just over a 1/4 of the way until you feel contact with the pins, then it will come out.

its like £1.50 for the removal keys? why not just buy those in the first place?

i could not get my standard stereo out of the cage so i just stuck a big screwdriver straight in it twisted and raged it out and straight into bin lol

Fucking hell dude. In the future just scrape £1.50 together and buy a release key from Halfords
