Just driving back from Luton, came off the M1 at J14 when I noticed this car getting very close to my back bumper with its fogs on (wasn't even foggy). Anyway we both went left following the road round. I was stuck behind a Fiesta at this point. Anyway a few yards later without indication it tries to overtake, meanwhile i'm midway through overtaking the Fiesta with my indicators on. So again its right on my back bumper. I then got cut up by a lorry so the Corolla undertakes me and takes the 3rd exit off the roundabout. It had a considerable lead on me at this point. So I decide to 'test' the capabilites of the Cupra. Not really ragged it before. Anyway 2 roundabouts and a few hundred yards later i'm right behind him but he wont let me pass so i'm having to hold off. Stayed like that for a hundred yards or so, me being in 4th gear and gently pushing the accelerator to stay close but not too close. He eventually decides to take a right and be on his merry way. I didnt actually get to overtake but if he wouldve moved over on the dual carriageway I wouldve gone past no worries.

For 189bhp (I think its that) I wasn't too impressed with the T-Sport. Sport being used more lightly then it does on the Corsa 'Sport'. Advantages of cold cold air, turbo, and a lighter car I guess.

Was fun either way and made a usually dull drive home a bit more exciting.

They aint that quick, mate of mine had one for a couple of days. Has the same kind of engine as Civic Type-R, where it picks up again at about 6K revs and goes to about 9K revs, was only good for a high rev-limit never felt really quick.

He had the new Compressor one the other day, the supercharged jobbie and that still wasnt very quick, and you couldnt tell it moved to the power cam so was just pretty slow and flat till 9k revs

Yeah sounds about right. Seemed to be hard to keep up with but easy to catch after he braked and changed down for roundabouts. Kept mine in the nice turbo friendly revs however which made it easier.

ive been out in a mates t-sport and i wasnt impressed. didnt feel like 190 bhp, but we left a clio 2.0 sport quite easily from 7k revs+

and thats the problem with them, if you arnt at 6000 rpm they just dont want to go anywhere! really depends on the way its being driven imo.

my brother in law also has a t-sport and he knows how to drive it. in his hands it feels very quick, but hes not affraid to thrash it.

The fog lights being swicthed on when it wasnt foggy suggests to me that this driver was a pickey chav fuck wit.

sister has one, they are 189bhp, but its only a N/A 1.8 so its not going to be super fast, my 140bhp engine would keep up with one to about 90. nice car IMO, different and goes ok if your prepared to keep the revs up lol

He he good one Nath... they are reasonably quickl but only when in VVTI... v.similar to the CTR except the CTR has a lot more low down speed... TSport really only becomes quick at pace... looks ugly too

Yeah was a bit boxy looking. Didn't look like a top of the range model.
