As the title says.

Looking into one of these for a Christmas gift...and wondering if I should choose one of these over a Ipod Nano (just to be different)

IMO ... its minging, would rather have an Ipod but end of the day with an ipod your just paying for the name

What about the new sony ones? they are cool...

I just bought an ipod video.. and u arent payin 4 name, it syncs and compresses all my photos when i conect it, got office series 1 and loadsssssss simposns episodes etc. so well built too. Mazin screen

I want one of the new Sony Walkman NW-A3000's but someone said Sony MP3 players have a real problem with copywritten mp3's and transferring music from one machine to another etc.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Not really. My new video iPod cost me £200 for 30gb. MP3 players I'd been looking at previously were £70/80 for 1gb. That one up there's even £124 for 1gb. And the iPod plays videos amazingly well.
