right guys ive been needing a decent camera for ages so decided to get one in the january sales and get the best i can get for £350-400.
i will be using for holiday snaps etc but im looking at getting into photography as a hobby aswell(still life + nature)
so far this one seems to be my favourite:

thats pretty cheap on that site! the s7000 is in my price range if thats worth getting. just seen this aswell which takes my fancy : http://www.digital-cameras.com/digital-cameras/canon-powershot-g6.html?price=5
also are fuji cameras generaly better than canon?

depends really. there is the G6 from canon. try to stick to a 5 or 6mp point and click. larger pixels generally means more noise

Ive got the s5600 and its a cracking little camera for the money. Does everything thing I need and isnt too complicated to use.
