What have you done about the reg document, MOT and insurance?
Have you changed the amount of seats on the reg document from 5 to 2?
What's the law about the MOT? If you have rear belts? Or have you removed the rear belts completely?
Has it effected your insurance much if any?

if you have rear belts but no seats its fine, but seats with no belts is an mot failure
although, you only need 2 belts in the back, not 3
my v5 still says 5 seats
might change it, but then insurance will go up

my v5 says 5 still, forgot to update it when i sent it off with my new address..... may get round to it one day. regarding mot, the seats are the least of my worries! if there are no seats then there is no need for the belts...

Coolio.
So what's the deal with roll cages and insurance?
I've heard that it normally goes up as insurers think you will drive quicker as the car is safer?
So what about a show cage instead?

I've got two seats and that's about it at the mo.
Just asking as it's coming upto MOT time and I've got rear belts and no seats.
I will remove them at some stage, but for now it will stay as it is until I can afford some Recaro's and a cage.
Still insured as a 5 seater at the mo although I can only carry 2. Should I really change the insurance cover?

What? You only state the number of seats in busses and minibusses e.t.c..

It states on your reg doc about number of seats and on my insurance certificate it also states the amout of seats.
So I would imagine it is important!

That's what I was thinking.
I will ring the insurance company and see what they say tomorrow.
I am sure Flux will be OK with it though.
