I agree with Fad and ScottNW, The interior, despite being nice, just doesn't look right in cream leather, those RS1600i seats are unique and imo should be left as they are meant to be, wheels look OK, the original RS 7 spokes do look very nice but as these ones are in the same style then they don't look too out of place.
I love how anal some of the enthusiast Ford owners are though - check the eBay questions:
Can you give me the part number behind the ford badge on the plastic grille please?
How much of the paint is original?
It is infinitely preferable to buy a car with original paint, especialy an oldish one.
The seats in those are very cool & shouldn't be tampered with (they must have been fucked), and I think they're the most comfy seats of the modern era of quick fords or any car for that matter that i've ever sat in.
One of my mates at college had a Caspian blue 1600i and although we were all disgusted that he'd done the inconceivable and disgraced our brotherhood by commiting the cardinal sin of purchasing a torquesteerer, we all agreed that the seats were exceptional, and were indeed wasted on the car.
They are good looking cars though - if only Ford had done the decent thing and mounted the engine the correct way round as in all previous vehicles that bore the hallowed initials.
