Alright peeps, my 1.6 sport is lowered 60mm all round on FK Supertec kit, and today i fitted a set of 16" team dyamic monzas.
Im having a bit of a problem all round with scrubbing on the arches, front and back. There is next to no room in there and over bumps they just smashes into the arches.
People on here seemed to think they would fit without problem but alas this isnt the case. 16" et45 195/45/16 tyres
Anyone have any advice on how to tackle this or know of anyone in the bedford area that might be able to help me out, the car is totally undrivable as it is, think ill have to put the old sport wheels back on until the problem is fixed.
Any advice/help is much appreciated and needed!
Cheers people, Phil

remove the 2 big screws in the centre of the arch, cut the plastic arch back a bit to stop it catchin and if necessary grind the lip of metal just below the holes where the arch screws go in

cheers 'andybill' i will try that but it seems pretty severe, not sure whether that will be enoguh. Will give it a go though!
If not, is it possible to get them really cut back or rolled out? anyone know of any places around the bedford area that might be able to do this?
Do they have to be special modified car places or would normal repair bodyshops be able to this too if i explained to them?
Yeah i remember you saying you hadnt had a problems with yours Rob. I would say there is about 5mm between the tyre and the arch when it is just sitting stationary, so obviously when driving, problems are occuring!

thats useful, cheers mark, any ideas for the front? have got scrubbing there too! can a similar thing be done? can enough be done on most cars to get the arches out enough to clear wheels.
There are certainly cars out there with much bigger wheels, or worse offsets and even lowered more, this cant be worse than theres but like i said its undrivable!
Thanks for the replies guys, really appreciate it, if anyone has more suggestions/experience with this problem then that would still useful/interesting to hear! Many thanks people, Phil

cant say i have any paticular problems with my 16" team dynamics. but im only lowered 40mm.
However when i have 5 fattys in my car the rear left hand wheel rubs. Any one got any ideas why its only this one? as it looks like it sits further out from the car then the rest. I dont know what the problem is and it may be along the lines of what your having trouble with
I asked at the garage last time my car was in and he double checked everything and it was all fine. i also thought it may be the body work on that one side was differnt but he also didnt think this was the case
Anyway sorry for going off topic I would just take the bolts out and trim the arches back as suggested and see how it goes. good luck

alot of corsas rub or the wheel is very close to the arch on the back passenger side, dont no why they do it, its just a common problem
