ill try crank sensor mate, i dont think induction kit could make such a difference, i honestly cant put into words the loss in power off mark lol.
if your crank sensor was faulty it wouldnt even start.
Im pretty sure that if the crank sensor is shagged then the hall/knock sensor takes over instead and the ECU can get a reading from that.
Mike, let Rich know what sensors you need as there is a full 1.4 16v up the unit left from a conversion
thanks ally, ill ask rich for a crank sensor and anything else i can think of lol

it generally in first and second... when you TRY to set off from lights you just cant lol, it rolls forward no faster than if you was pushing it on your own ! no joke! lol then all of a sudden at about bloody 4k revs, all the power comes at once, and obviously all at once it throws you back into your seat and your off like a mofo lol.
its a pain in the arse honeslty, will do paper clip test tomora if i can but its not going to tell me much i dont think.
Thanks

this is false. a knock sensor has no relevance to the engines crank position. it senses knock (or pre-ignition) so that the ecu can advance or retard timing accordingly.

mine did this when i did the conversion on my old car, i had got a couple vacuum pipes mixed up and there was no vacuum to the Map sensor (bolted to the bulkhead - green wire connector)
try taking the pipe off when its running to see if there is a healthy vacuum!

are u sure its not the clutch?
does it rev upto 4000rpm with no power? If it revs but with no power to the wheels its gotta be clutch really
iv had a similar problem though where it just has no power until youve been flooring it for a while
turned out to be 2 dodgy leads...your probs on a coilpack though?
