Im trying to learn photoshop but im struggling to cut things like bonnets/windows etc out ready for tinting/colour change. Its almost impossible to use lasso cos my hand aint steady enough and magic wand always links in other stuff i dont want.

What process's would you use to do something like this?

Magnetic Lasso
Holding down shift will create another cut area so you can cut out the windows, then create a new layer using the selected areas. Fill it black then change the opacity to about 65%
