A friend of mine needs to upgrade from 98 to either 2000 or XP in order to get his ipod to work and was just wondering how easy it was and how best to obtain a copy of 2000 or XP.
Any help appreciated

Go and buy it from a shop. You can not upgrade from 98 to XP so it will be a fresh install. Also you will have to make sure the hardware is upto it.

Are you sure you can't upgrade from 98?
I seem to remember upgrading back when it 1st came out.
I'm almost sure you can upgrade.

You're looking at at least 100 quid moe.

There will be alot of programs which installed as 98 and will be confused/damaged when trying to run them in 200/xp.
