Ok I'm finding out on behalf of a mate, so as the title says really... Car alarm keeps going off pretty regularly (ie: every 5mins or so) and it's been diagnosed as the glass tamper sensor thing that is the problem. The alarm is under warranty, but just wondered any ideas what may be causing this to play up etc?

nothing wrong with cliford alarms, its all down to the fitter
had my concept650 fitted by specialist security and it was brill, superb fitters and never had a problem
had a car with a clifford fitted by GAP security and its been nothing but trouble!
GAP security are a bunch of salesmen who just want to sell you an alarm and never want anything to do with you again

Have you tried unplugging the sensor from the alarm?
If you continue to get problems, then the alarm itself is up the shit.. if the problems stop, its the sensor.
Speak to the dealer that fitted it, I'm sure it will be covered by the warranty. If not, they only cost about £20 to replace anyway.
