depends on how much u use of each
by the length of time that u are on here, id say you would need to get your overtime in to cover the cost

cant find an eleccy bill to see how much that is, I dont have gas though so mine is a little higher as central heating is all electric.
Dont forget you'll have council tax and possibly a service charge if your getting an apartment. My service charge has just gone up to £1091 for 2006

I haven't forgotten about council tax, and the places i'll be looking at won't be appartment new types yet (unfortunately), so no service charge. Imagine how much that works out tho they're making some money onthat
Have just checked local council site and I reckon i'll be paying £101 ish a month (based on the value of the ones i'm looking at)

budget for around £80 (maximum usage ie. heating on best part of the day and not just twice, 1 bath a day, computer always on). that way when your bills come in you'll have money to spare.

it's all about over compensating for things (not by too much though).
Work out what your average food costs will be and add say £20. You're bound to be buying extra things now and then like beer and stuff. That's what we've done and it's worked out well and we haven't had any shocks.... yet.

Perhaps have 2 bank accounts, one where all your bills/mortgage gets take from
One where your wages gets paid into, if ur bills are £600 u put £650 into the bills account, then u know what u have left for the month
That way money should roll over just in case u have a higher bill than expected...
Im working my shit out @ £25 a month each so £75 goes into the bills account for that stuff, but u wont actually know what ur paying till uve been there a while
lectric could be £15 in the summer and £40 in the winter remember....
