i've been given a 2nd job for making bio-diesel reactors. they'll give me a van for deliveries ans such like but i still wanted a corsa so i have some ideas....

1.4 16v sport for weekends and commuting + work van
1.5 diesel corsa (slow but i can run it for free!) +work van
or just buy my own van (LET engined comba van) for commuting modifying and work use.

they're my ideas anyway. i have 3k and sort of want a track day car too.
whats the mpg of a LET or an X20XE?
what else could i do?

He says he still wants a Corsa!

I'd go for an C20XE'd Corsa for weekend use and use the work van to do everything else

for 3k you wont get a good track car. If you do you wont be able to afford maintainence.

Why not just get a Diesel thats not slow?

cheers for the help guys. i still want a corsa to modify though as i still have loads of parts from the one i have. i could stretch to 4.5k but if i did that i'd have to sell everything that i'd replace (even if i dont get much).

quite like the seats that u suggested though.

why get a slow diesel corsa plus a work van? just get a astra td work van run it for free, and get something else once you have saved up, or make the van look good.
