I added a new stick of ram to my pc. Now when i go to turn it on it doesnt show anything on the monitor and it bleeps for 5 seconds then pauses then bleeps again...

Ive tried taking it out again and it hasnt changed.

Any ideas

Try removing BOTH sticks, then just place the old one back in, making sure it's seated properly...

One long beep, followed by any number of long/short beeps, tends to be a problem mainly with memory modules......although on "some" motherboards, it could also be due to a problem with graphics-card memory - try re-seating ALL cards, if doing the RAM stick(s) doesn't resolve it.
