TomTom 300 is the best for that money.
Get it from Halfords, as they have a good customer service if you have a good store, and can help with almost any problems you get it, as the staff on Audio have all had training in sat nav.
Shop around though, as Halfords is £329.99 at the moment, but find the cheapest you can within 10 miles of the halfords store, that have it in stock, and halfords can price match it.

TomTom One is same as the 300 only slightly smaller and cheaper - and yeah halfords are quite good with helping you out if it fuccks up

TomTom 300 has a 5 hour battery life, where as the TomTom one only has two hours (obviously off the charger).
The TomTom one cannot have the speed camera updates package added to it for £50 a year either, where as the 300 can.
The 300 can also be upgraded to be able to use it as a Bluetooth handsfree kit, where as the one does not have this hardware, so cannot.

the tomtom one can have speed cam updates for free (dont be paying tomtom as there dont have ALL the cams) see here for free cam updates http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/ a very good database
the one has a better chipset than the 300 so picking up the sat's takes about 5/10 seconds also works on reflective windscreens and picks them up better than the 300 handsfree on the 300 can NOT be done due to NO microphone the one and the 300 both have bluetooth for trafic reports ect but no hands free and the 500 and 700 hands free aint all that so i have been told
