Just wondering really - it feels like ive been on broadband forever yet it makes me think when people put "56k no-no" in their post titles how many still actually are on dialup.

I was talking to my students about this very same thing the other day and its still quite a few. I was surprised at that.

With such wide access to broadband over the last 5 years I cant imagine it any cheaper to have dialup anymore - I know some people dont have access to it for technical reasons though.
I remember when I got online for the first time on Freeserve back in 1997

Back before accounts were tied to one line I used to get bt usernames and passwords for the 0800 numbers from a guy in school.
Took me 2 hours on the phone to cancel freeserve back in the day.
