my car is suffering from temporary loss of power and i have no idea what could be causing it.
the EML has been coming on and off during the last week or so but has been running alright until today when the engine just suffered a loss of power and sounded like it wasnt running on all cylinders, so i pulled over, got out and i could smell burning coming from somewhere.
i have already checked for all the usual head gasket symptoms (its already blew one about 6 months ago) like water in the oil and the engine over heating etc etc but everything appears to be fine.
has any one got any ideas to what it could be???

do the paperclip test to see why the light is coming on. that will point you in the right direction to finding the problem.
