hello

i have recently done a conversion on my corsa with this engine, although i have came across a problem as i dont have Power steering. Is is ok to run the belt with the PAS pump still pumping? as i have tried to fit a non power steering belt on bu doesnt fit ?

any ideas ?

nah the better solution is to use the 1.4 16v non pas way......

Andwer si to make a adjustable bracket for the otp of the alt and run a non PAS sport belt as sibs has said.

a vw vento belt works good if you make up a little bracket... thats the one the AA man brought me when my othe one snaped

not had any luck.... some people have told me they've bough brackets


any ideas?

I think i used a braket from on old mk3 astra just so long as it has the adjustment.

Then i put a bit of sting round and got the 3 closest belts from local motor factors

1.4 16v withou pas or aircon belt, tensioner and lower alt bracket
